What to expect?
Duration: Approx. 5-7 hours (including breaks and lunch) Group size: minimum 2 - maximum 6 participants Distance: Approx. 10 km Elevation gain: Approx. 700 m Highest point: Viševnik 2,050 m This scenic circular hike starts at Rudno Polje on the Pokljuka Plateau and leads to the panoramic summit of Viševnik (2,050 m). The well-marked trail climbs steadily through forest and open alpine terrain, offering stunning views of Triglav and the Julian Alps. After enjoying the summit, we descend via the beautiful alpine pasture of Konjščica, known for its traditional huts and peaceful meadows, before returning to the starting point. At Konjščica, we stop for a lunch break (included in in the price), with vegetarian options available. Difficulty: Moderate – suitable for hikers with basic mountain experience. Good general fitness required; steady uphill walking. Terrain: Forest paths, alpine meadows, open slopes, and rocky summit area. Footwear: Sturdy hiking shoes required. Weather: Mountain weather can change quickly; route may be adjusted for safety.
